Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing Halloween Costume
Updated on October 3, 2014 missbat moreContact Writer Somebody’s Within the Wolf
I have a tendency to pick some actually strange Halloween costumes. Island Sometimes the more obscure the higher! Last year I recreated a ‘wolf in sheep’s clothes’ take from Queens of the Stone Age’s Someone’s In the Wolf music video. This is how one can create it as effectively.
First, a bit background…
So that is where I acquired the inspiration for the costume. Or, you can say, ripped off the thought. Somebody’s In the Wolf is a tune off the fourth QOTSA album Lullabies To Paralyze and the video is typical of the band’s style.
Little lamb, little lamb…
It took a bit of work, however I finally tracked down the same mask the band used in their music video. I imagine sooner or later the band offered them on their website, so you much be fortunate enough and already personal one.
The unique fashion mask is product of comparatively fragile plastic, and supposed for children, so watch out with it.
Unfortunately, the mask is now not made.
The opposite alternative, if you’re not capable of finding the mask or aren’t going for the authentic look from the music video, is to find any suitable sheep/lamb mask from any Halloween costume store and go for it!
Massive Bad Wolf
The right way to make the tail and paws
Where I diverted from the video is in the including of a tail and paws to my costume, to offer others a hint as to why the heck I am carrying a lamb mask and street clothes.
I picked up three pieces of lengthy pretend fur from a craft store (JoAnn’s or Michael’s would have it) and a bottle of craft glue.
To make the tail I left the piece intact, folding it over into a tube-like shape, then glued it to itself to kind a basic tail. I later pinned it to the inside of the back cheap stone island kids clothes of my pants so it fell all the way down to look like a tail was hidden beneath my jacket.
The paws had been really cuffs. I cut the fur into strips that would wrap my wrists then security pinned them tightly round my wrists so the fur flowed out from my jacket sleeves. Voila, imitation paws!
Beware the smile…
The accomplished wolf in sheep’s clothing
To finish the look, I wore black pants, boots, a leather jacket, and a black shirt. Within the video, the wolves wear regular street clothes along with their masks, so you may pretty much go together with your individual style.
As I stated, the fake fur tail and paws were additives of my very own doing and utterly elective. One other thought can be to take along a (fake) sharp knife like the ones within the video, if you’re a QOTSA fan. Any and all variations would be completely up to you. The more imaginative the better!
All-in-all, one of the most easy but completely inventive Hallowe’en costumes you may ever have. Enjoy!
Lullabies To ParalyzeIncluding Someone’s In the Wolf, the 2005 album by Queens of the Stone Age is stuffed with all kinds of dark and dangerous hooks and lyrics to maintain you awake all night.
